Immigration Law Firm Visibility Audit
The shortlist happens before the first call. See whether your law firm is on it.
Companies shortlist immigration counsel before they call. Find out what they see when they look for you.
A paid visibility audit for immigration law firms in the Netherlands. It looks at how the firm is found, how it converts, how its lawyers show up, and what AI assistants say when someone asks for immigration counsel in the Netherlands.
Run by Olha Bodnar: more than twelve years in legal marketing for immigration law firms in Canada and the United States, now based in Amsterdam.
You built the practice on referrals. That was the right call.
HR contacts, relocation partners, tax advisors, former clients, etc. Nothing about that needs fixing.
What has changed is what happens before the phone rings.
An HR manager in New York needs a recognised sponsor application filed for a new Amsterdam hire. Increasingly, she does not ask around first. She types the question into Google, or into ChatGPT, reads a few firm pages in English, looks up the named lawyer on LinkedIn, and shortlists two firms. Then she emails both.
If you were not one of the two, you never knew the matter existed.
Who this audit is for.
Immigration law firms in the Netherlands, and immigration practice areas inside full-service firms, that serve employers and internationally mobile professionals and want to know what those clients see before deciding what to change.
It is not a fit if the firm is looking for an SEO ranking report, a paid-ads vendor, a website redesign, or a social media package. The audit will tell you whether any of those is warranted. It does not sell them.
Who does the work
I am Olha Bodnar, founder of Ethos Leads. I've spent more than 12 years in legal marketing, and immigration law firms have been the focus of that work: first in Canada, then in the United States.
I have also been the client. I have started my life and my business from scratch in four countries, Canada and the United States among them, and the Netherlands is where I live and work now. The questions your clients ask before they contact a lawyer, about eligibility, timelines, fees, and what happens if the answer is no, are questions I have asked myself.
I know the firm's side of the desk from twelve years of work, and the client's side from four moves.
The marketing industry has one answer for this. It is the wrong one for an immigration law firm.
Post more, run ads, redesign your site: that model was built for consumer practices chasing volume, and it treats every firm as the same firm.
An immigration practice serving employers and internationally mobile professionals is a different case. Often the client is sitting in another country, reading your pages in English before deciding whether to call at all.
Often the client is a company, with an HR or global mobility manager who has to justify the choice internally. And a growing share of the first questions are now being asked to AI assistants, which answer with named firms, described in sentences the firm did not write and has usually never read.
None of this is visible from inside the firm. That is the whole problem. You cannot see what the prospect sees, so the decision about what to change gets made on instinct, or on whatever the last agency proposed.
The Outcomes You'll Get
The audit gives you the view from the other side of the table.
For ten working days I look at your firm the way an employer, a relocating professional, a referrer, and an AI assistant look at it, and I write down what I find.

Frequently Asked Questions
We get all our work from referrals. Why would this matter?
A referred prospect still looks the firm up before calling, and referrers look you up before they refer. The audit shows what both of them find.
Do you need access to our systems?
No. The audit is done from the outside on purpose, because that is where the prospect stands. Read-only Search Console access is optional.
Is this a sales pitch for a retainer?
The report is the product. It is written to be actioned in-house, and some firms do exactly that. Some ask for help with implementation, and the fee is credited if so. Either way the report has to stand on its own, and it is written that way.
How long does it take?
Ten working days from the intake form to the report in your inbox. We then schedule a call to discuss the findings.
Is the audit in English or Dutch?
English only. The search and AI lenses are run the way an international client runs them, in English, and the report and the findings call are in English.
"What if I'm in a small market or niche practice area?"
Perfect. Small markets and niche practice areas are actually ideal for this system because there's less competition and higher intent from searchers.
We already work with an agency, or have a marketing manager. Does this conflict?
No. The audit is done from the outside and it does not sell what an agency sells.
Do you look at our competitors?
What happens after the findings call?
You implement, in-house or with help. The report and the fix list are yours, in a form your team or your agency can work from. If you want Ethos Leads to do the implementation, that is a separate conversation with its own scope, and the audit fee is credited against it.
You Don't Have to Figure This Out Alone
If you've been piecing together marketing between court, client work, and admin, it's no surprise it feels inconsistent. A steady practice is built on a system you can trust to run without compromising professionalism or ethics.
You're already the legal expert. We'll help you put a compliance-first marketing system around your firm: clear priorities, consistent execution, and an approval workflow that keeps you in control.
We build the marketing system for you that turns invisible expertise into qualified consultation requests.
Every month your online presence stays unclear, more high-intent clients choose the lawyer they can understand and verify first, not necessarily the lawyer with the better judgment.
